I have one too
After much agonizing about whether or not I should I now also have a blog. I have no idea really what I will be writing about overall but I finally got around to making one pretty much only because WoW is down at the moment. I also finished playing Violet during the down time. I only needed hints three times.
SPOILERS
I needed a hint for being not distracted by Julia with the platypod on. I got the gum and I tried all sorts of things with the gum including “put gum in ear” but not “put gum in ears” which is what I had to do and after the hints I figured out it wanted that phrase.
I needed a hint for getting rid of the smell of the perfume. I had inspected the picture frame before but somehow missed that it had a clamp on it. This one I just plain *needed* the hint.
I needed a hint for getting rid of the book because I had put it in the drawer a week ago before I got stuck on the perfume and didn’t want to use a hint again. I forgot it was there so its all “you are distracted by the book” and I’m like “burn book” and its like what? I don’t see what you are talking about. Somehow the book being in the drawer puts it in some quantum state where it can distract me but I can’t look at it or burn it or otherwise acknowledge it exists.

Overall I really enjoyed the game though and will probably play another IF game as soon as I get another recommendation. Also, I will probably being writing an IF game of some sort and make it about 3 sentences in before it ends up in my stack of unfinished projects.
